Designing your maternity clothing wardrobe

This is a fabulous time in your life! Dress like you mean business! You now have the opportunity to build a fashionable wardrobe and show off your growing curves! You must have at least one pair of maternity jeans in your closet! Dress them up with a maternity tunic or a trendy maternity top. You may want to plan ahead & get nursing tops that will grow with you, and then slim down with you after your baby is here and allow for discrete nursing. Maternity dresses are a great addition to your collection. You can dress them up with a cardigan or just enjoy the fabric hugging your curves during the hot summer days. A maternity skirt will give you yet another stylish summer look and add an item to mix and match with your maternity tank top or shirts.

Tips for maximizing your maternity clothes collection

Get a few items you can mix and match to maximize your collection! Make sure you have at least one pair of maternity jeans, with which you can ware maternity tops, maternity tunics or if you plan on nursing, maternity tops that are nursing tops as well (this is a great way to save later on when your baby arrives. You will already have the attire for discrete nursing).
Maternity tights in any solid color can be used with any maternity top or maternity dress and will spice up your look as well as help support your growing belly. When shopping for maternity pants, make sure you can grow into them! Remember - your belly will do most of its growing in the third trimester.
A belly band will go a long way allowing you to use other top in your closet you may not ware otherwise.

Discrete nursing tops and nursing dresses

If you plan to breastfeed, you will find that discrete comfortable nursing clothes will make it easier on both you and your baby. Consider getting nursing tops that are also maternity tops and will flexibly grow and shrink with your changing curves.
A nursing dress can go a long way and it CAN and SHOULD be fabulous! You CAN have a little black dress in which you will be both breath taking, comfortable and able to nurse your baby discretely.
